Happy Sunday! Let's Talk About Connecting to Something Bigger Than Ourselves

We all carry a deep longing—a desire for peace, purpose, and unwavering love. No matter who you are, what you’ve been through, or the challenges you face, there is divine help waiting for you. God Almighty—the Creator of heaven and earth has always been near, and His invitation to connect remains open to all. All you need to do is open the door.

God’s Presence is Always Available
From the moment you took your first breath, God has been with you. Even before you were formed, He knew you, loved you, and called you His own. In your stillness and darkest nights, His presence remains. He is not limited by race, background, age, interests, by present or past mistakes. God is your Father—not because you earned it, but because He created you. His love does not require your approval; you belong to Him simply because you exist.

Listening to the Right Voice
In a world filled with distractions, doubts, and negativity, many voices try to pull us away from God’s truth. Some voices tell us we are not worthy, too broken, or too far gone to connect with Him. But those voices are lies meant to create separation.

The truth is simple: You are His child. You are loved beyond measure. You are invited into a personal relationship with Him. Reject the voices of fear, rejection, and condemnation. Instead, listen to the voice of God—a voice that calls you into peace, love, and restoration.

Do You Need a Church or a Religious Leader to Connect with God?
While churches and spiritual leaders can offer guidance, your relationship with God is personal. A true relationship with God can only be achieved through a one-on-one conversation with Him from the silence of your room or a place where you can be alone. You are unique in the presence of God, and no pastor or someone else can replace you. Having a direct connection with God necessitates a sincere heart, devoid of any mediator, rooted in a genuine parent-child relationship with complete transparency. Worship, prayer, and connection do not require a physical building or a mediator. God is always with you wherever you are. Even if you've never prayed or spoken to God before and don’t know what to say, just start a conversation like you would with a parent or friend.

Acts 4:12 reminds us: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." Your faith, your prayers, and your heart are enough to bring you closer to Him.

Approach and connect with God As You Are—God Will Do the Rest
You do not need to be perfect to approach God. He is the Divine Healer, the Restorer, the One who mends what is broken. Approach God and connect as you are, lay down your burdens, and let Him do His work in you.

Jesus said: "Seek me first, and every other thing shall be added." It’s not about being perfect—it’s about believing. Even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains.

Powerful Examples of God's Redemption

The story of Rehab: Rehab is a woman whom the Bible does mention as a prostitute. In Joshua 2:1, when the Israelite spies were sent to scout the land of Jericho, they stayed at Rahab’s house, and she was specifically described as a prostitute.

Despite her background, God used Rahab and she played a crucial role in protecting the Israelite while on spy, demonstrating faith in God, and ultimately being spared when Jericho was conquered. Her story is one of redemption and transformation—she is even listed in the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:5, showing how God’s grace extends to all who turn to Him.

The Story of Apostle Paul: Paul, originally known as Saul of Tarsus, was a fierce persecutor of Christians. In Acts 9:1-2, Saul actively sought to imprison, punish, and even kill those who followed Jesus.

However, his life took a dramatic turn on the road to Damascus. In Acts 9:3-6, a blinding light from heaven stopped Saul in his tracks, and he heard the voice of Jesus asking, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” This encounter changed everything—Saul was physically blinded for three days, but spiritually, his eyes were opened.

After this divine intervention, Saul became Paul, one of the most influential figures in Christianity. He spread the Gospel far and wide, writing many letters that later became part of the New Testament. His transformation is a powerful testimony of God’s mercy—showing that no matter one’s past, God can call, redeem, and use anyone for His glory.

A Final Invitation: Open Your Heart and Claim Your Covenant Right

No matter your past, your doubts, or your struggles, God’s invitation remains open. He is not waiting for perfection—He simply wants your heart.

Throughout history, He has redeemed the lost, restored the broken, and welcomed the weary. Rahab, Paul, and many others are all reminders of His boundless grace.

You are never too far, never too lost, and never beyond His love. No ritual is required—just an open heart and a willingness to connect.

So take that step today. Speak to Him. Let His love transform you.

The door is open. Will you walk through today?
