A Call to Unity, a Call to Oneness: Resist Deception and Embody a Unified Identity as Humans

In a world where division is ever-present and deception seeks to scatter us, we are reminded of the powerful call to unity, oneness, and truth as humans. It is a call to resist the lies of the devil, which thrive on sowing discord among God's people. As humans, we must all stand together, transcending all earthly distinctions, and embody our identity as children of God, the Creator. 

The foundation of our unity

The Word of God emphasizes in Ephesians 4:4-6: _"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."_ This scripture clearly articulates the foundation of our unity. We are one as humans, called to be a single people of God, united in faith in God, through Jesus Christ and purpose.

The Deception of Division

Division is one of the most potent tools of the enemy. The devil seeks to fracture the unity of humanity by emphasizing differences—whether they be race, gender, denomination, or socio-economic status. But Jesus prayed for our unity in John 17:21: 'That all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.' Our unity is a testament to God's word, love, and truth.

Embracing One Identity

As human beings on earth, we are all created by God, the Father of all, and redeemed by the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. There is no church denomination or other distinction that should divide humanity. Galatians 3:28 reminds us: 'There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.' This powerful truth calls us to embody a unified identity, transcending all earthly labels. We are one nation as humans, united in our purpose and mission.

Standing Against Deception

To stand against deception, we must ground ourselves in the truth of God's Word. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 tells us: "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." By holding fast to the truth and living out our faith in God, the Father of all, we can resist the devil's schemes and remain united as human beings, created by One God and redeemed by the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ.
